What was supposed to be a thrilling milestone in Jasmeet Chana’s career turns into a major disappointment.
Jasmeet Chana, the reigning Kenyan rally champion, was set to make his long awaited debut at Uganda’s prestigious Pearl of Africa Rally this May.

There had been months of excitement for Chana and fans who wanted to see him test his mettle on unfamiliar terrain.
However, just days before engines are set to roar, Chana’s dreams come to a halt with a delayed gearbox shipment shrinking his excitement to zero and forcing him to watch from the sideline.
Since the rally is scheduled for May 8–10, there simply isn’t enough time for the vital component to arrive and be fitted.
With Chana out of the picture, the mantle now passes to a strong Kenyan lineup: Karan Patel, Saman Vohra, Nikhil Sachania, Sameer Nanji, and the ever-unpredictable Hamza Anwar dubbed the “problem child” for his daring style and fiery spirit.
Though one star won’t shine this time, the rally promises no shortage of action as these contenders take up the fight in what is shaping up to be another thrilling edition of the Pearl Rally.
