Ogier handed a 1-minute penalty as Neuville leads Rally Croatia on Day 1

Sebastien Ogier has been handed a 1-minute penalty for not having his safety harness fastened on Stage 2 earlier on Rally Croatia. The 8-time world champion entered Croatia as the Championship leader, and with a 1 minute penalty in hand, all glory to lead the table points at Hyundai’s lethal driver Thierry Neuville.

After Day 1, Thierry Neuville is leading Rally Croatia with a 5.7 seconds advantage ahead of Toyota’s Elfyn Evans. With the loss of Craig Breen still hurting Hyundai and its drivers, no one anticipated an all-out chase from Neuville, and as things look, he heads to Day 2 as the Rally leader and favorite to win the event.
